What is expected of you:
  • 1. Students may work in pairs (no more than
  • 2. You may draw a picture, do a power point, or use a doll to label a minimum of 20 different body parts (excluding anything inappropriate for school). You may also include internal organs if you want. No South Park characters.  Be creative and have fun.  You may create anything from a space creature to unusual animal, use your imagination.
  • 3. There is to be a minimum of 20 body parts labeled, more will give you extra credit.
  • 4. Each student is to describe a minimum of 12 of the body parts from your project for their oral exam.  Each of these body parts must be described using two (2) descriptive adjectives for each body part.  Some of these adjectives are included in your project package.  You may include things such as, color, size, shape, quantity, or anything else unusual about your project.
  • 5. he poster must be labeled correctly, including the articles in front of each body part, but no adjectives on the poster or power point. They must have the proper amount of body parts labeled in order to get full credit for your poster.  If you choose to include any unusual parts; such as wings, tails, horns etc. You may do so and then include these in your oral presentation.
  • 6. You must sign this paper as a homework grade, as well as get a parent or guardian to sign it.
  • 7. ou must submit a rough draft of your oral presentation that will count as a quiz grade.  This rough draft is due_September 26th This rough draft should be handed in along when you hand in the final copy.  We will make any corrections in class to the rough draft, by handing it in with final copy, if anything is missed on your rough draft; I may not take points off on your final copy. It is very important that this is ready on the 26th in order for you to participate in peer correction.
  • 8. You will need to practice your oral presentation, if you use notes during your presentation, points will be automatically deducted.  This is not a conversation; therefore; you can practice on your own.  If you are unsure of pronunciation (which will be graded) come see me!
  • 9. Due date for presentation is October 3rd. If you do not have your project ready on this date, you will lose 10 points for each day it is late.
What you can expect:
  • This project counts for five (5) grades.
  • You will receive a homework grade for getting this paper signed.
  • You will receive a quiz grade for your rough draft.
  • You will receive a written test grade for your final copy of your written presentation
  • You will receive a written test grade for the poster/power point as well.
  • You will receive an oral test grade for the presentation; your scoring rubric is attached to this packet.
